Our Congregation
enjoys being part of a long history of Christians worshiping on this site, since Daniel Hix (for whom the village of Hixville is named) founded the church in 1780.
Planning a visit
Please come worship with us! Our usual services are held at these times:
| Morning Worship | Sunday 11:00 am |
| Evening Worship | Sunday 6:00 pm |
| Bible Study and Prayer | Wednesday 7:00 pm |
Our address is: 1190 N. Hixville Rd, North Dartmouth, MA 02747. Get directions.
Our main parking lot can be accessed from North Hixville Road, just beyond the building’s front entrance. From there, you can walk back to the front of the building and proceed up the stairs to front doors. Or, you can enter either of the first floor entrances adjacent to the parking lot, and proceed inward to the indoor stairs and handicap elevator. We also have a small auxiliary parking lot on Old Fall River Road, if the main lot is full. From there, you can use the sidewalk to reach our front entrance.
We hope you can also stay for a few minutes after the service, so we can meet, and get to know you!
If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us!

Our History
Our church was founded by Daniel Hix in 1780, a farmer who had served in the Continental Army during the Revolutionary War. Hixville village sprang up around his church, which itself is now in the National Register of Historic Places. However, at the time Hix planted the church, it went by the name of “The First Baptist Church of Dartmouth”
We are located in the heart of Hixville Village, at the intersection of North Hixville Road and Old Fall River Road. We maintain the cemetery opposite of our building, and are surrounded by other historic buildings.
